1: I got a job! I've been at this small mechanical contracting firm for about 6 months. It's very laid back, and I like it. Horray for having a job, but it's too bad I'm not making as much as I was. I feel broke half the time.
2: I'm engaged!! Chuck asked me last Thursday, and i said yes! It's scarry. I don't really want to spend a lot of money on a silly wedding, but I want to have a fun and memorable time. I guess I'll see what I come up with.
so yah, i ment to update and ment to update and I never did it. Oh well, Now I've finally done it, maybe I'll get this all cleaned up and get my ducks in a row for this wedding thing. it's scarry, but it's going to be fun.
WHEE!!
oh yah, the truck was totaled. Got a '04 ford ranger to replace it. yay trucks. I was sad to see the old one go, but oh well, life goes on.

Day 83 of being unemployed. Blah.
The new house is awesome, except that our sewer line is currently backed up. I didn't want to take a shower or pee today anyway. Plumbers are all crooks like lawyers, too. The doggie loves the backyard, even though he can jump the fence... little jerk. Like everyone in Atlanta, we can't afford to heat the place. We had the thermostat at 65 for 15 days and got a bill for over $100. Now it's set at 62. Can't wait to see that next bill. Good thing it doens't get cold in GA, or we'd really be paying. On top of that, the windows are single pane and don't really keep the heat in. Pain in the ass.
I wrecked my pretty truck. I'm really pissed about this. I swear the dude was in the right turn lane coming at me, and I was making a left, so I went. Apparently the dude decided not to make the right turn, changed lanes, and I get creamed. Did he hit the brakes? No. I get the full force of a Tahoe at 50 mph on the front right corner of my truck. It's not pretty. I'm sure the dude was lost and on his damned phone, and never saw me. I definatly didn't see him till he was slamming me across the intersection. The dude almost creamed a power pole, cause he tried to steer out of the crash instead of ramming the brakes. He's lucky he didn't flip the damned thing. I'm terrified that my truck is going to be totaled. I don't think there's any engine work, but the front right corner is freaking smashed. Gonna need a quater panel, the whole frone bumper and grill set, right blinker and headlight, left headlight, hood, and windshield that I can tell offhand. Thank goodness the radiator didn't get busted :-x.
So now I dont have a job, and I don't have a car to go interview for a job. That's going to go over just freaking great. Um, yah, Mr. potential employer, I'd love to come in for an interview, but I don't have a vehicle. I sound like an excellent canidate for a position with responsibilities. Who knows how long it is going to take to get the darned thing fixed.
yah, it's been great. when i'm not surfing teh web for crap "opportunities," I play SIM City and watch Mad Money on MSNBC. I've started keeping track of the stocks he talks about so i can try to figure out what he's looking at to make all that damned money. I've started here, and hopefullly I'll get the right information there to keep track.

Day 18 of being unemployed. Whee, I guess. I'd rather have a job so I have something to do during the day (I sleep entirly too much) and so I have some money to spend.
I feel guilty even driving around, cause gas costs money, you know. The funny thing is that the dog sleeps in just as late as I do. I would have put down money that he would get me out of bed every morning, but just waits 'till I drag out of bed. Lazy little dog ;)
I've been answering want ads in the Atlanta Urinal Constipation and answering online ads.
I'm thinking that I made too much at my last job, but I have to figure out what to put down for salary requirements. "Please pay me!" is what I feel like some days, but I'm afraid to take too much of a pay cut. Then again (on the other other hand...), anything is more than I'm making right now.. nothing.
Yah, so If you weren't paying attention, I quit my job working for a railroad south of Pittsburgh, PA. You might say, "Yankee by birth, southern by choice." Not to mention, the company didn't give a rodent's rear about it's employees. It felt darn good to leave that place. My pretty little house is sold, and I didn't loose too much money out of the deal. I was up there for a little over a year, so i was lucky about that.
I've been getting some quality time with the doggie, and soon I'll be home revamp slave when Chuck closes on his house. I'm excited about moving back into a house. I don't like having a dog in an apartment. Heck, i don't like having ME in an apartment. We're going to be doing some hard work on teh place for a little while though. whee!!!
